Best Christmas decorations 2023

How is it nearly Christmas again already! The mind boggles.

This is my first Christmas in my new flat and since moving in, I’m unsurprisingly skint and not on a huge Christmas decoration shopping spree this year. Maybe a little tree and some homemade bits – I’m sure I can get creative!

But, there’s no harm in hypothetical online shopping for the benefit of you guys… after all!

I thought I’d compile a list of my favourite Christmas decorations for 2023. Let me know in the comments below if you have any suggestions of homewares shops with good Christmas bits this year!

Adele Inspired Christmas Decoration – Rockett St George – £15.95

Finding gems like this is the reason I love writing shopping guides like this. Adele hanging on the Christmas tree? Why the f*** not.

Fun Food Brussels Sprout Hanging Felt Decoration – Sass & Belle – £4.95

It’s called silly season for a reason. Mainly this brussels sprout bauble I expect. This one’s a bit cheaper than the previous Adele option, and could make such a cute stocking filler. I love it when people buy a new quirky bauble each year to slowly build the collection, and this is the sort of bauble I’d buy.

Artemis Deco Vacanza Jug Red – Glassette – £95.00

I am obsessed with this jug. I love the idea of having a huge mismatched dining table of different red and white pieces all mixed together over a gorgeous Christmas dinner. You can also get free shipping on Glassette until 27th November with the code: NOBADGIFTSATGLASSETTE

The Simpsons Christmas Wrapping Paper Roll – Typo – £1.75

Okay I’m sorry I know this isn’t exactly a Christmas decoration – but Simpsons wrapping paper!! I couldn’t not include this! Just imagine all the presents wrapped up in this under the tree. It’s already bringing me back to my childhood. Love.

Rick & Morty Resin Christmas Ornament – Typo – £3.50

I feel that this one needs no explanation. Pickle Rick.

Zinc Tealight House Lantern – Cox & Cox – £25.00-£65.00

Adore these tealight houses! These could also look lovely all year round, if like me you don’t have tonnes of storage space to redecorate for every holiday.

Set of 6 Red Chequered Christmas Tree Baubles – Rose & Grey – £25.20

These “beautiful traditional style baubles are hand-painted and finished with a glossy glaze, giving them a vintage feel with a modern touch.” These are the sorts of baubles I’d like to collect over the years to build a huge, colourful collection.

Set of 2 Pink Curly Martini Glasses – Rose & Grey – £25.60

Again, not strictly Christmassy, but how cool are these Martini glasses?! I’m hoping to put up some wall shelves in my kitchen in the new year, so I can create a collection worthy of a display.

Holiday In The City Mug – Anthropologie – £14.00

This mug is the cutest thing I found in my whole search. Imagine serving a little hot chocolate to your pals in December in this adorable mug! It’s worth it just for the Chrirstmas morning Insta pic, let’s not even pretend.

Paper Shades – Graham & Green – From £19.50

These delicate paper lamp shades are cut from sheer paper made from wood pulp and layered into an elaborate shape. As they’ve done in this styled photo, you can hang them around a pendant light fitting or string lights to create a soft and romantic look! All the different sizes together look so good. I’m having visions of these hanging from my bedroom ceiling or against a backdrop of waterfall fairy lights in my window… TBC!

Vintage Silk Spun Christmas Baubles Set of 5 – Becky Boyce – via Narchie – £17.00

1970s silk spun Christmas baubles! Stunning! I love looking on Narchie for Christmas stuff. If you’re new to it, it’s basically like Vinted for homewares. You’re weeeelcome.

Hope you got some fun ideas for Christmas decor!

If I come across any more bits I may add to this as we get closer to Christmas!
